This month, we're launching new, smaller bottles! Why? We find it's a better serving size for our super strong cold brew. And a few other reasons, too.
The new 8 oz bottle is a slimmed down version of the 12 oz. It fits better in your belly, your hand, your pocket, your fanny pack, you name it. It's still an amber-colored "Boston round" bottle, BPA free, heat sealed, and full of the same great cold brew. The lid is a little smaller now, and has a pog-like cardboard seal... so grab your slammer!? During the transition, the new bottles will have a flashy yellow sticker label, but after a few weeks we'll have screen-printed bottles like usual.

We have heard a few stories of people over-ZINGing, ending up with a headache, going home from work, or making wild online shopping purchases due to too much caffeine, so we think the smaller size will help. Here at Uel Zing, you'd think we have a high tolerance, but even Uel himself (me) drinks about 8 oz at a time, and it's plenty!
The smaller size also brings down the price point just a bit to $3.69 (our suggested retail price), so the final price with tax comes in under 4 bucks—you won't be left with that awkward 73 cents of change. So it's a good thing for you, the consumer.
We'll be honest: it's a good thing for us, too. Our coffee is very high quality—sustainably sourced and expertly roasted by Tinker Coffee Co.—and our cold brew uses a lot of it. Nice packaging done by hand with decent wages, plus overhead like insurance, rent, etc., all adds up. The $3.69 price point gives us a more sustainable margin, so we can continue to do (and brew) what we love.
Soon, we'll also be adjusting the size and price of our CONK concentrate, from 32 oz down to 16 oz. A lower price point will let you get the strong stuff without it being so much of a splurge while, again, still ensuring us a sustainable margin. The smaller size will give you a chance to make it through your CONK while it's still fresh.
We are an ever-evolving cold brew company. While our cafe is a nice space, it's only open one day a week because our small team can share our cold brew with the most folks through our bottles. So our focus is on distributing those bottles to more and more of your favorite neighborhood shops and restaurants.
We aren't necessarily saving the world, but we like to think that we're fueling those who are. We hope to bring to our fellow cold brew drinkers great coffee, energy, and, with any luck, a smile. It's cheesy, I know—like really cheesy—but we call our distribution plan "Smiles for Miles." :)
Thanks for understanding our change, and please keep enjoying our cold brew!
We won 3rd overall best cold brew at a National Coffee Fest this year.
